“Amen” to this. Having lived through a 2-year extensive renovation; my home now is holding space for me and my creativity to flow through.

A house must make me happy above its consideration for size. Personally, I prefer having less sqm and more investment per sqm. Leaking my energy into constant maintenance for cheap options is a bigger price tag than to invest my money wisely into better quality finishes. Quality choices need not be foolish choices.

Home is a feeling, not a place. And designing my home was coming to grips with my lifestyle and place in this world. I have an issue with wasteful living and therefore each room in my house is utilised and not just for show. There to nourish my wellbeing; tell my stories and satisfy my senses. It feels good to leave my home and even better to come back to it.
