Seeped in heritage, Maastricht was an effortless space for us to co-create with.
A Brief History: The farm was established in 1702 by the first Dutch settlers. The line of old oak trees planted in the shape of a cross by a Dutch monk in the 1700’s, was used for ceremonies and prayers.
Inspiration was brought about from the stories of the farm & what is hidden inside the walls. The illuminated cross becomes the hero ingredient of the space; for its prevalence as part of the brand history. Offset against a heavily textured stone wall; the illumination creates the contemporary contrast. The central counter was custom made and positioned to call you to partake in a communal wine-tasting experience. Handmade tiles and a cobalt blue countertop carry the delft heritage that’s been unearthed during the renovation. Oak wood was selected to pay homage to the trees on the farm; while splashes of copper rounds off the space’s healing energy.
