This well-established brand in the heart of Hout Bay opened their second set of doors in the Historic Mill of Newlands. Our appointment was to not only create a space that would echo the honesty of their food; but also honour the rich history of the heritage building that the newly constructed structure – allocated for the main eating space – linked onto. The limited square meters required some clever engineering for parts of the infrastructure; so as to flow and fit functionally like a puzzle. By the time the space was constructed; the unseen elements would appear as matter of fact and the conservatory approach to the space makes for a treehouse dining experience.
