We were tasked to create a new reception room as an integrated extension onto a heritage structure. Mindful contrasts were combined, by introducing modern elements such as frameless glass doors; whilst oversized ceiling beams were used to retain old-style charm. Our bar-counter became the room’s focal point: A carefully curated central antique counter is offset by granite stone to either side, which was harvested from the local mountains. A new illuminated Onyx marble counter-top ties all of the elements together, to achieve our vision of modern-heritage. And finally, antique fixtures and fittings were sourced to finish off and enhance the remaining space.
